“With our signature pompom blankets you’ll bring just that touch of je ne sais quoi to your interior”
100% pure wool and cotton
Pompom blankets for various purposes in your interior
As one of the first items from The Souks, the pompom blanket is an absolute signature piece. We first introduced these blankets in 2015 -the year The Souks found its origins- and since then the pompom blanket has traveled with us collection after collection. With these soft, versatile blankets you can easily imagine yourself in a beautiful boutique hotel.
The blankets are handmade by our team of craftsmen in Morocco, and come in a variety of colors and sizes. We have the blanket in three sizes, for every purpose. Within the process of making the blankets, only 100% pure wool and cotton is used. These fabrics are tightly, securely and hand woven, so you have a quality product in your hands: Your pompom blanket will last a lifetime. The soft, playful pompoms give the rich blanket just that little bit of je ne sais quoi in your interior, whether you use it as a bedspread, as a lovely cocooning blanket on the couch or as a play mat for the little one. The pompom blanket is a real multi-tasker.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is your question not listed? Feel free to contact us!
Both materials are 100% natural, of pure quality and durable. A wool blanket is a bit warmer and heavier, where the cotton blanket is a bit lighter. Still, it is a tightly woven blanket, so even the cotton blanket is of sturdy quality.
Wool is self-cleaning and moisture regulating, repels dust mites and is particularly suitable for people with allergies. Wool is cool in summer and warm in winter, in Morocco the blankets are used for all seasons. Cotton is naturally cooler.
The colors of wool blankets tend to be more intense, where cotton blankets tend to be softer and duller.
Wool blankets can be washed by hand or on a wool wash program, preferably on a cold program with a special wool detergent. The cotton blankets can be washed on a gentle cycle. Tip from us: hang out your blanket regularly so that the fresh air can go through the fibers.
We have the pompom blankets in 3 sizes: M, L and XL.
M: 120 x 150
L: 150 x 250
XL: 200 x 300
Choose Medium when you want to brighten up a single bed or crib. This size is also great for on the couch!
Choose Large for over the foot end of a double bed, the pompoms will then fall over the bed, to the side.
Choose Extra Large if you want to cover the entire double bed so the pompoms hang from the foot end.
If you have a queen-size or smaller bed (e.g. 140), size M is also sufficient if you only want to cover the foot end. For more blanket, again go for the Large.
Do you need a larger blanket? Mail to info@thesouks.com to ask about the possibilities.
We also have blankets without pompoms in our range since our AW2021 collection! You can view them here.
The cotton blankets don’t itch at all, the wool ones may itch a bit if you are sensitive to this and if you use the blanket directly on your bare skin. Actually, we never get “complaints” about itchy blankets. See also the first question in this thread for more information on the different materials and their characteristics.
For size M on the long sides, for size L and XL on the short sides
We design the cotton and wool blankets ourselves and then have them woven by our team in Morocco. So the blankets are always new. Of course we also find unique, vintage one of a kind blankets, this is then clearly mentioned in the description.
