The Souks design plaids

While the majority of The Souks’ items are vintage, we regularly design our own collection that we have manufactured ourselves in Morocco, using the same craftsmanship you’ve come to expect from our other products. These blankets and plaids are new and made from fabrics woven specifically for our designer collections.

Yes! And that is what we like best. A few times a year we design a new line for The Souks. That always starts with a good dose of inspiration and brainstorming sessions. We usually work out a concept textually and visually, creating a story and mood board. Then our designer sketches, design choices and technical drawings are made for our craftsmen in Morocco. Our team of artisans then carefully goes to work making samples of the designs. Once the samples are ready, we determine if we will release the products. Then, together with our creative team, we create images of the products during our ever-inspiring photoshoots, and finally the moment comes when we can share our new baby with you. So we think the entire collection from A to Z, from idea to product.

We do not have a physical store or showroom. However, we regularly organize pop-up shops where, in addition to carpets and textiles, you can also view items from our design collections. For the new collections that we design ourselves the same delivery time applies as you are used to, unless otherwise stated on the product page. Sometimes we work with a pre-order principle, but this is always clearly stated.

In principle, our design collections are temporary, but it sometimes happens that we are so fond of a product that we bring it back. Sometimes slightly different than before, but with the same meaning.
